Growing up in Hungary, sour cherries were a staple in our household. They were used in both cooking and baking, celebrated for their perfect balance of sweet and sour. My grandfather had an entire orchard of them, and every year, my cousins, uncles, aunts, and I would gather the fruit together. There was so much of it that, in some years, my grandfather would craft a beautifully fruity wine from the harvest. That wine became my inspiration for creating this delightful blend of raspberries, blackberries, pomegranate, and, of course, sour cherries. To honor my heritage, I named it Magdalena, after my grandmother.
