"As delicious as the Hendrickson Cabernet is, Le Bijou is even better. By that I mean it is considerably richer and more concentrated. As the first sip crosses the lips and penetrates the taste buds, it explodes in a blast of blackberry essence that is almost chocolatey when combined with new oak. The alcohol gives a liqueury push towards crème de cassis, with a pleasant heat and a sweetness that somehow manages to finish entirely dry. This is a “wow!” of a wine, a full-bodied 100% Cabernet that captures what Diamond Mountain does to the variety in a good, low-yielding vintage like 2021.
